Eye of the Storm is dedicated to supporting the visual and performing arts at AGS by raising awareness of and supporting the development of both the academic and extracurricular arts program at AGS.

Welcome to the AGS arts!
All of us together comprise the arts booster club, Eye of the Storm (EoS).

Eye of the Storm began in 2012 to provide a natural community for AGS art lovers, to support art production with our time and energy, and to provide supplementary funding for arts projects.

For example, through concessions at performing arts productions, EoS has helped with the expansion project for the visual arts room and purchased an electronic keyboard and additional supplies for all arts programs!

Who is active in EoS?

  • Parents who have a daughter in visual or performing arts as a student or extracurriculars (or even just in Coffee House, an arts related school club, or the spring literary competition)
  • Parents/family members who simply love the arts and want to see them thrive at AGS.
  • Parents/family members who simply are glad someone is supporting the arts and don’t have time.
  • Just to emphasize the point, together we make the arts great by being an inclusive, welcoming, fun, art-loving community!

What does Eye of the Storm do?

Eye of the Storm provides numerous opportunities for parents and family members to support the arts at AGS, from contributing baked goods to taking over the concessions committee for a show to hanging art for the Arts Showcase. Truly, there is something for everyone!

We encourage participation in events that your child might not be a participant. Reciprocity in the past has helped us staff events and enabled parents to be able to attend their own child’s events without the pressure of volunteering at the same time.

How can I help?

Eye of the Storm Needs You!

Eye of the Storm provides numerous opportunities for parents and family members to support the arts at AGS, from contributing baked goods to taking over the concessions committee for a show to hanging art for the Arts Showcase. Truly, there is something for everyone! The sign up links for many of these events are listed below, others will be created closer to the date of the actual event. We urge you to contribute your time and efforts at least once or twice this year to assure that we all share the load.

Plus, it’s enormously fun to be together! We encourage parent participation in events, even if your child is not a participant. Reciprocity in the past has helped us staff events and enabled parents to be able to attend their own child’s events without the pressure of volunteering at the same time. Through concessions at the performing arts productions, EoS has helped with the expansion project for the visual arts room, purchased an electronic keyboard and additional supplies for all arts programs, and more!
