10th Grade EDLS Grant Ceremony

As part of their EDLS philanthropy and advocacy program, the AGS sophomore class held their grant-making ceremony last week. The 10th graders vetted various nonprofit organizations that address causes the girls are passionate about. In small groups, students researched and met with each organization, and then each group presented the following organizations with a check during the ceremony: Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund InternationalThe Task Force for Global HealthSafe Hands For GirlsyouthSpark, and Positive Impact Health Centers. Thanks to these organizations for all of the amazing work they do and for attending the ceremony. Next semester, our sophomores will tackle advocacy in the second part of their EDLS curriculum this year. Great job, girls!
