Trent Powell

Middle School physical education teacher, varsity basketball coach, and advisor

I choose Atlanta Girls’ School because I recognize I am uniquely positioned as a coach to build upon the teachings and philosophy of AGS, instill values of collaboration and cohesion, and ultimately, to help prepare a group of young people for their next stage in life.

Trent Powell joined AGS from Houston, Texas, where he taught physical education at Young Elementary School and served as part of the basketball coaching staff at 6A South Houston High School. Prior to his time in Texas, Trent taught for four years at WC Griggs Elementary School in Mobile, Alabama, and coached in the UMS-Wright Preparatory School 4A boys basketball program. He loves to play disc golf!
