Susan Percy

Susan Percy joined Georgia Trend, an award-winning regional magazine covering business, politics and economic development, in 2001 and served as editor until 2014, when she became Editor-At-Large.

She is a native Atlantan.

Susan has an ABJ with honors from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, where she worked on The Red & Black.

She was on staff at Atlanta Magazine for eight years and has worked for newspapers in Louisiana and California. She has written for national publications including USA Today, Reader’s Digest, Arthritis Today, the Harvard Health Newsletter, Redbook, and Glamour. Her work has earned regional and national awards, including first place in 2017 for her “Business Casual” columns in the Society for Professional Journalists (SPJ) “Green Eyeshade” contest and in the Association of Area Business Publications (AABP) awards competition.

Susan was inducted into the Magazine Association of the Southeast Hall of Fame in 2008 for her contributions to magazine journalism.

She is a member of the Atlanta Press Club, a volunteer at VOX Teen Communications, and a former member of the Grady Society board at UGA, the Emory University Ethics Center’s Media Advisory Council, and the Parent Alumni Council of Paideia School.
