Brandi Hoyos

Brandi Hoyos is the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Marietta City Schools where she leads the district’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, which are focused on culture, curriculum, programming and policies.  Most recently, Brandi was the Director of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action at the Mount Vernon School in Sandy Springs, GA, where she was the liaison for partnerships with external experts, nonprofits, government entities, and corporations.  She also consulted on behalf of the Mount Vernon Ventures team, and actively served on Mount Vernon’s admissions and hiring committees.  Prior to her tenure at Mount Vernon, Brandi led diversity, equity, and inclusion programs at The Lovett School and Trinity School in Atlanta  She has served as a mentor for diversity practitioners for the Southeastern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), an organization of over 380 independent K-12 schools, representing over 220,000 students.  Brandi is a former Vice President of Diversity Directors for the Atlanta-Area Association of Independent Schools (AAAIS), and she is a Board Trustee for Leadership Sandy Springs, the Community Assistance Center, and a member of the Advisory Board for Saint Anne’s Day School.
