Books for Arrendale Women’s Prison

The season of giving thanks is underway at AGS, with multiple projects happening on and outside of campus to help those in need.

Alexandra L. ’19 and Isabelle B. ’19 chose to collect books for Arrendale Women’s Prison with students on campus. While Isabelle was at Stanford Pre-College, she learned more about the issues going on in our prison system and, along with Alexandra, wanted to help out a local prison because books can spark imagination and give wisdom and joy. The women’s children also go through hardships, and our students thought that giving books to them would make their days brighter and that the mothers could even read books to their children during visits. Great job, girls!
