Today, May 23, is International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, and Sofia has been invited by UNFPA, Fistula Foundation, and Johnson & Johnson to participate in their Twitter chat #EndFistula.
Sofia’s mother, Elisa Gambino, commented, “AGS is a place where girls learn to be leaders and team members. The faculty and students of AGS have supported Sofia’s efforts over and over again. It fills my heart to know that she will leave school with these beautiful memories. I am grateful for the role models Sofia has had at AGS.”
