Senior Wins 2015 National Achievement Scholarship

Senior Tamia Goodman has received a $2,500 National Achievement Scholarship to be used towards her undergraduate education. She is one of only 700 students to be selected for this scholarship award nationwide.

Tamia’s PSAT scores (taken as a junior) ranked among the highest in the country and qualified her to be in the running for this scholarship. More than 160,000 students who took the 2013 PSAT/NMSQT entered the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program and also requested consideration in the National Achievement Program, in which only Black Americans participate. AGS senior Sydney Knight was recognized earlier this year as a National Achievement Semifinalist, one of 1,600 nationwide.
