Kassis is named AGS STAR Student

Senior Kimberly Kassis has been named the 2020 START Student for AGS. Kimberly selected Upper School English teacher, Ms. Amber Player, as her START Teacher.  On choosing Ms. Player she said, “[she] has encouraged and supported me on my path to becoming a better writer both academically and creatively. She has helped me learn that there is more to a good story than just the words chosen.”

The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program honors Georgia’s highest achieving high school seniors and the teachers who have been most instrumental in their academic development. To obtain the STAR nomination, high school seniors must have the highest score on any single test date of the SAT taken and be in the top 10 percent or top 10 students of their class, based on grade point average.  Congratulations Kimberly and Ms. Player!
