Guest Speaker: Mr. Bizimana, a Congolese Refugee

Special thanks to Mr. Bizimana, who is a Congolese Refugee for speaking to the 9th graders about his experience coming from the Congo to American. He was be joined by Nancy Parkin-Bashizi, who is his vision impaired instructor. This was part of 9th grades EDLS topic of refugees. The students enjoyed hearing Mr. Bizimana’s life story and asked many questions about how he was able to accomplish so much. One thing the students found fascinating is that he is a teacher and he knows how to speak in 4 languages.
