10th Grade EDLS Welcomes Guest Speaker Morgana Freeman

On Wednesday, April 26, the 10th grade hosted guest speaker Morgana Freeman as part of their EDLS philanthropy, activism, and advocacy studies. Morgana spoke about her foundation, The Tallahatchie River Foundation, which is a private operating 501(c)(3) founded by her father, actor Morgan Freeman. The Foundation is committed to quality early childhood education in the state of Mississippi and believes that when children thrive by 3rd grade, their lifelong success drives a promising future for society. The foundation invests in early childhood education through Mississippi communities that collaborate, achieve and sustain efforts to improve child outcomes by 3rd grade.
