Chattahoochee Nature Center Field Trip

In November, 7th graders visited the Chattahoochee Nature Center to better understand food webs and energy flow in the environment. This field trip was taken as a part of their EDLS curriculum – Growing and Nourishing Ourselves in Our Community.

Through AGS’s signature Education for the Development of Leadership & Service (EDLS) Program, students at every grade level identify and develop their strengths and challenges, gifts, and passions. The EDLS curriculum instills in each girl an understanding of the critical role that service must play in the life of a responsible global citizen. Skills development takes place both in the classroom through everyday curricula and in a separate EDLS class that meets once per week. Core teaching values of this program include philanthropy, public service, personal and community wellness, and environmental stewardship.
