AGS Sixth-Graders Host Ice Cream Social at Shepherd Center

The AGS sixth-graders hosted an ice cream social for patients and their families at the Shepherd Center on Tuesday, February 18, during their day off from school. They served a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings to patients and their families and learned about the importance of having such a leading medical facility available in Atlanta.

The Shepherd Center is a private, nonprofit hospital that specializes in medical treatment, research and rehabilitation for people with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and other neuromuscular conditions. The Shepherd Center is the largest specialized care hospital of its kind in the United States.
