AGS hosts 18th Commencement for the Class of 2021

Atlanta Girls’ School hosted its 18th Commencement for the Class of 2021 on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Having spent all of their senior year of high school (and part of their junior year) living under restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 graduates and their families, along with the faculty and staff, were elated for the opportunity to gather together to mark this milestone. Chrishaunda Lee Perez, best selling author of We Come as Girls, We Leave as Women, delivered the commencement address in which she challenged the graduates to move into the future with confidence, continuing to use their voices for the greater good. Despite the difficulties of their final year, the group of 23 graduates exhibited resilience in their pursuit of the goal, landing $3.8 million in scholarships to attend 22 different colleges and universities in 10 states, Canada and Ireland.
