Sixth Grade Connects Human Rights to Literature

In January, the entire sixth grade traveled to the Center for Civil and Human Rights to discover more about the social and civil injustices faced by targeted groups of individuals.

They explored both the global human rights portion of the Center, as well as the civil rights exhibition, where they had a chance to reflect on and discuss how this history connects to the literature and themes they are studying this semester in their English classes: Anne Frank, the Holocaust, and human rights.
