Course Description
An auditioned ensemble. This is a year-long, advanced performance opportunity offered to
experienced music students who are accomplished in vocal performance. Students will
continue to develop vocal technique and musicianship as well as develop critical thinking skills
through the analysis of musical elements, including form and text. Students are expected to
participate in one evening concert each semester as a major part of their grade as well as a few
other performance opportunities that arise throughout the year.
Audition Requirements
Sight-Read, pulled from an example from GMEA All-State sight reading
3 scales: 2 major, 1 minor
1 a capella prepared selection of your choice
Audition Times
February 11, 12, & 13, 2020
Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday during Office Hours
Prerequisite
Upper School student
Been a member of AGS choir for a minimum of 1 year
