Sara Haj-Hussein

Sara Haj-Hussein joined the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation in 2017 as a Gifts Officer, overseeing multiple events at Piedmont Healthcare. In her role, she supports the fundraising efforts of the individual hospitals in the Piedmont system. In addition to working with the entities to raise money for service lines and patient programs, Sara works with large corporate sponsors and vendors for the annual One Ask event support and manages a portfolio of prospects.

Prior to joining the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation, Sara served as the Development Manager for the March of Dimes for three event seasons. In this role, Sara managed relationships with National Team Partners, event sponsors, and fundraising teams. Before holding this position, Sara worked for the American Cancer Society as an Income Manager, overseeing collegiate and community Relay For Life events in metro Atlanta and implementing a new social media platform for the organization.

Sara currently volunteers with Wellspring Living and New American Pathways, serves as an Ambassador for Kate’s Club, and continues to volunteer with the Junior League of Atlanta, serving as the CSE/HT Chair for the 2017-2018 League year.

Sara is a graduate of Agnes Scott College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and had her own column in the collegiate paper, The Profile.
