Melissa Hankinson

Science teacher

I choose Atlanta Girls’ School because our community is like no other in Atlanta.

Melissa has spent the last decade at AGS teaching science and helping students connect both intellectually and emotionally with the natural world. An ecologist by training, her teaching is anchored in the life and environmental sciences. Like many teachers at AGS, she brings a diverse set of skills and interests to her work that range from coding and psychology to dance and gardening.
