Lisa Allen

Lisa recently retired from the fine wine wholesale business after serving as the Director of Fine Wine at Savannah Distributing Company, which acquired her company at the end of 2013. While in that position she was responsible for building statewide market share and revenues through key account development, staff training, and strategic vendor alliances.

Previously, she was the Founder and President of Big Boat Wine Co., a boutique wholesaler of family-owned wine estates, accountable for gaining distribution of these wines in the retail and restaurant channels throughout metro Atlanta. She ran her own company for eight and a half years, taking it from ground-zero to $4.5M in revenue before deciding to merge with Savannah Distributing Company, the state’s oldest wholesaler of alcoholic beverages.

Before jump starting her entrepreneurial endeavors she received her MBA in 2001 from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University where she also served on the Alumni Board for nine years immediately following graduation. She was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Restaurants Association where she serves on the Membership Committee. She is also an active member in Les Dames d’Escoffier, an international organization for women in the food, beverage, and hospitality industries. For fun, Ms. Allen enjoys playing tennis, cycling, cooking, and travel.
