Lanae Hollingsworth

Math teacher, basketball coach, and track and field coach
I choose Atlanta Girls’ School because girls and women have voices and ideas the world needs.

In between earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, Lanae Hollingsworth taught pre-algebra and chemistry and worked as an assistant softball coach at an independent school in New York City. Over the years, Lanae has tutored and been a teaching assistant in a variety of math settings, including work with middle school students at Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics. Lanae continues to research in the areas of education, theology, religion, ethics, and race and ethnicity. She has traveled to five continents!
