Joy White

As the National Vice President of Network Strategy for UnitedHealthcare’s Retiree Solutions Division, Joy leads strategy for the national Medicare network of over 830,000 providers- the largest Medicare network in the country. She has leadership responsibility for network growth, value-based contracting strategy, non-participating provider quality engagement and executive client management. Joy serves as program lead for the UnitedHealthcare Network’s Graduate Cohort Program, and also serves as the United Retirees Solutions Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council’s executive sponsor. 

Prior to her role with UnitedHealthcare, Joy was the Deputy Chief of Georgia State Health Benefit Plan. In this role, she led the day-to-day operations and vendor management for the second-largest self-funded health plan in the country. Additional leadership experiences also included the Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority, Kaiser Permanente, and PwC. 

A native of Albany, Georgia, she attended Monroe Comprehensive High School, received her BS in Biology from Clark Atlanta University and holds an MPA in Healthcare Administration from Albany State University. Joy is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Links Incorporated, Camellia Rose (GA) Chapter, Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of STEM Compass, Inc.  

Joy and her husband, Devin, reside in Atlanta with their 14-year-old son.
